HPL sheet is a type of construction material consisting of a wood fiber or paper core and two top layers. Basically, the sheet is made up of several layers and is compressed under very high pressure. The resultant outcome, i.e., the HPL sheet is very dense and durable.
HPL sheet consists of more than 60 to 70% paper and 30 to 40% combination of phenol-formaldehyde resin at the core layers and melamine-formaldehyde resin for the surface layer.
HPL Sheet’s typical thickness range from 0.028” to 0.048” (0.71 to 1.22 mm)
HPL Sheet is 100% waterproof
- The design range of ACP sheets is limited in comparison to HPL
-
HPL can be had on both sides as well as single side.
-
ACP is prone to scratches and not very easy to maintain in comparison to HPL
-
ACP tends to lose shine faster than HPL
